Experimental Investigation on Behavior of Single-Helix Anchor in Sand Subjected to Uplift Cyclic Loading

Helical anchors have been widely used in geotechnical engineering due to their large uplift resistance. However, the current knowledge of cyclic performance helical is still insufficient. Consequently, a series small-scale model tests are carried out sand investigate influences embedment ratio, compactness and parameters on monotonic, post-cyclic single-helix anchors. The results indicate that with optimal ratio exhibit relatively high capacity after suffering load. frequency has greatest influence accumulated displacement, amplitude greater than mean dense better resist pullout those medium–dense under same parameter ratios. Moreover, correlation displacement loading as well possible upward flow above helix discussed.
